SmartUp Project

MENTA and NEN are partners in a Erasmus Plus European project, other partners involved come from Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland and Denmark. Below is an overview of SmartUp.

Smart-up is an EU Erasmus+ Project bringing together partners and experts from the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Denmark and Ireland.

This project aims to facilitate early stage entrepreneurs and established SME owner-managers with the knowledge and skills needed to identify and interpret early warning signals of business crisis, and to take timely, corrective actions, thereby facilitating growth, or survival, in unpredictable or adverse situations.

The SmartUp Project aims to increase  the number of advisors/ teachers incorporating early stage warning signals of business crisis and intervention strategies to mitigate risk into their training programmes. By doing that, entrepreneurs and SME owner-managers can be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to take timely measures.

Partners are developing a curriculum and OER’s which will include learning objectives, lesson plans and assessment guides and access to a variety of original teaching content in digital format, these free resources provide business advisors/ teachers  with a complete toolkit for teaching early stage intervention skills to entrepreneurs as part of their business development programmes, either in classroom or in blended (digital) learning formats. A free online course will also be developed which will reinforce classroom teaching.
